Women's Day Away 2025

A day of Bible teaching and fellowship, organised by Lyonsdown and open to all women of every age and faith

  • Saturday 18 October
  • 10am to 3.30pm
  • Enfield Town Community Church (79 Cecil Road, Enfield, EN2 6TJ)

The Bible teaching will focus on the topic of Relationships - particularly focusing on the relationships we have with one another, as women. We'll explore what the Bible says about being sisters and friends: what healthy, godly relationships look like, and how God's word equips us when relationships become strained or broken. We'll also have a biography talk given by Johnny Prime, who was the pastor-teacher at Enfield Town Community Church for 21 years, and who now works as the FIEC's Director for London. He will share the inspiring story of Robert Murray M'Cheyne, and what his life and friendships can teach us today. Coffee breaks, a relaxed lunch, and an optional walk in the park complete the day.

Practical details: The cost of the day is £5. The venue can easily be accessed by public transport and we can arrange lifts where needed. We will not be providing a crèche but babes in arms are welcome. On signing up, please indicate whether you would like to bring a packed lunch with you, or whether you would prefer to order one of the hot meal options, which will be delivered to the venue by a local Fish and Chip shop.

We intend the day to be appropriate for friends, relatives and guests from any background and stage in life, as well as those who are not yet Christians. All are welcome!
