Public Screenings

Next Sunday (6 September) we will be launching two Public Screenings of Lyonsdown Live - one in the Church Building at 10.30 am, and the second in Lyonsdown Hall at 4 pm. These screenings will include live elements.

Every possible safety precaution will be taken, to make these meetings safe:

  • Restricted numbers. The maximum capacity of our church building and Hall with 2-metre distancing is 70 and 35 respectively. However, in order to minimize risk, we've decided to limit both screenings to 30 people each.
  • Pre-booking. In order to prevent disappointment, with these lower numbers, we have decided to operate a booking system. It will not be possible to turn up on the day - you must book in advance by contacting Charlotte Cornes (charlotte@lyonsdown.org; 07984 022498), indicating the number of people who would like to attend. Charlotte will then be in touch to let you know whether places are still available. Please do not come unless your booking has been confirmed. Bookings must be made by 1 pm on Friday each week, and will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. If your booking is accepted, but you are subsequently unable to come, please let Charlotte know as soon as possible, so that she can cancel your booking and give your place to someone else. Cancelled places may be available on the day. Please contact Charlotte by phone between 8.30am and 9.30am on Sunday morning to check.
  • No crèche or childcare provision. There will be no specific provision for children except Lyonsdown Live's Children's Item. If you want to bring children, you will need to keep them with you throughout the screening.
  • Face coverings. Face masks, which cover the nose and mouth, must be worn throughout the screening, with the exceptions outlined in government guidelines. Please bring your own face masks.
  • Hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizer will be provided on entry and exit.
  • Enhanced cleaning. Enhanced cleaning will take place before and after each screening.
  • Track and Trace. Track and trace details will be taken and kept for 21 days.
  • Bring your own Bible. We ask everyone to bring their own Bible.
  • No singing. Government guidelines prevent us from singing.
  • No refreshments. No refreshments will be served and everyone will be asked to leave the building promptly after the screening finishes.
  • Symptoms. You must not attend if you are displaying any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been asked to self-isolate.

If you would like to attend one of the screenings this coming Sunday, please get in touch with Charlotte as soon as possible, in order to book your place.

For those who would rather not come in person at this stage, Lyonsdown Live will, of course, continue as normal on YouTube, so you can still join in online.
